I thought the clip they showed of Klancie’s journey ended in a rather peculiar way with that wiping of the nose. I am so pathetic, I wept a little when she said that stuff about loving her mum and dad. And I used a tissue to wipe my nose even though I was not on television.

Well I liked her, and hubby certainly liked last night’s outfit. I think a lot of bored husbands were probably grateful to Klancie for providing some entertainment while the crap dragged on and on.

I don’t know who is voting for Bobby, Mutto or Ricky but I wish they’d stop. Why don’t we just send everyone but Jess and Lavina home and let them Diva it out?

Yeah, Klancie just wasn’t that good. Nor is Dean, so I thought it was good to see them at the bottom.

Agree that Lavinia is very accomplished, and Bobby this week was as boring as bat poo. I did miss Ricky’s crazy eyes a bit though.

Oh, and Fyodor, you were bottle fed, weren’t you?

As I said on your last post, Klancie was my least favourite so no probs with seeing her go. Overrated from the start. I actually reckon there is something in the going-first theory, at least while there are still a lot of performers. You just tend to forget the early ones, after there’s been another 6-10 performances. I reckon that caused Ricky to be in the bottom 3 the week he went first.

Having said all that, Klancie was better this week than Bobby and Mutto, so she was probably a bit unlucky. (I wouldn’t mind if Mutto went, but I’d like to see Bobby stick around.)

(I also have to put in a plug for Levina who gets a ridiculously hard time from the male judges who just don’t seem to be able to cope with a woman who isn’t a giggling teenager.)

My theory — and this is pretty specious — is that it had something to do with going first and being one of the more forgettable acts. If you went later and were forgettable, like Mutto, you stood a better chance.

I think it’s a shame — I mean, she’s much better than Millie, f’r'instrance, from last year. And Dean just seems like a waste of space, albeit a pretty one. (For that matter, I’m not sure I understand why Lavina was in the bottom 3, unless it’s because she’s f*t and it’s more unforgivable for a woman than a man to turn in a so-so performance?)

I liked Klancie, too, because she comes from Isa these days and said things about how much she missed ‘country’ and drove 800 km to get to the audition (all this regionalism is pretty pathetic, isn’t it?)
