After 25 years in London
author (and my linksPal )
Thats So Pants.blogspot.com/ is on
her way back to Aus via India where ...
"What India lacks in wildlife, it makes up for in literati. I found myself in Jaipur in the middle of a free literary festival. That such a thing exists is alarming enough. How on earth do they exploit the book buying public in India? It's a mystery. I'd previously mentioned that Gore Vidal would be present, but it wasn't until the next morning at breakfast that I discovered a free
screening of Atonement was to be shown,
followed by a Question and Answer session
with Ian McEwan and Christopher Hampton
(who'd just been nominated for an Oscar for his screenplay).
Regular readers may recall that I thought enough of the movie to write a favourable review back when it first opened."
... and her blog has a happy snap of the 2 men looking genuinely friendly.

Ony five words? Can do.

"Pale Fire" False but accurate.

"Moby Dick" Taking on water.

"Metamorphisis" It grew on me.

"Hamlet" Making my mind up.

"Gormenghast" Impossibly built to last.

"Angels and Insects" Awful fucking.

"Dracula" Not more bloody letters.

"Ulysses" Mapteary pollenuating hitten myth.

"The Dice Man" Rolls along.

"On The Road" Like endlessly.

"Dune" More sand than spice.

"Black Mischief" Funny white prick.

"Harlot's Ghost" A haunting masterpiece.

"The Hobbit" Furry clay feet.

"Treasure Island" Yo ho ho.

"Vineland" Hiding in the woods.

"Wuthering Heights" Take me away.

"A Dance To The Music Of Time" Far too bloody long.
